It has not been a great start to the year weather-wise for imaging.  In fact – I only have one image to show for the first three months of 2009, but at least it’s a good one :)   We had 4 clear hours of sky on Saturday 28th February 2009 which allowed me to capture this beauty:

Sometimes we really need the luck in this hobby.

I have just been contacted by a U.K. customer who ordered through Amazon.co.uk asking when they might be shipping out his copy of Star Vistas.  Star Vistas is already shipping in America (you can actually get it from Amazon.co.uk shipped from the distributors Caiman in America) – but you don’t have too long to wait now anyway.  Springer have given me a date of 12th March 2009 when Star Vistas should be with the U.K. book distributors, so only 9 more days to go.  Noel & I thank you for your patience, and promise you, it’s well worth the wait, Springer have done a very good job with the printing :)

Noel Carboni has applied for a passport renewal, meaning that it looks like he will be able to attend the book-signing at AstroFest this year!  It now looks like we will only be attending on Saturday 7th February – so if you want a copy of Star Vistas – signed by both authors (this is likely to be a one-off event!) – make plans to attend AstroFest 2009 at South Kensington in London on Saturday 7th February :)
