Star Clusters

With star clusters, or grouping of stars in the hundreds to thousands regime, we have two distinct classes, open clusters and globular clusters.

Probably the most famous open cluster of stars is M45, the Pleiades, and a winter favourite.  The most amazing globular cluster in the northern hemisphere is certainly M13, the Great Globular Cluster in Hercules with its huge concentration of half a million stars.
